I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I was with the performance of my boat. Salem Electron represents the latest in Puddle Duck technology. Her hull, mast, sail, and foils are straight from the Oz Mk II PDR plans, and I must say: She sails very very well. I think Michael Storer's Oz PDR plans are the best $20 that can be spent by a budding boat builder or a seasoned pro.

I take full credit for her rowing capabilities, though. I did a lot of research to come up with the ergonomics and I I think I pretty much hit it dead on.

That 'droopy' hull shape really got a lot of attention. Jason Nabors revolutionized the 'Duck world when he came up with the first curved sheerline, and it looked so cool, M. Storer incorporated it into his professional plans. While I don't expect the reverse sheer of the Salem Electron to have quite the impact, I do expect to see different upper decks evolve out of this experiment.
